This week we’ve been reading about seal’s. We actually have four species of seals, The Sea Lion, the Fur Seal, Elephant seal and we have the leopard seal. The Fur seals are the ones that are in West Port at the sea lion look out. The sea lions are at places like AuckLand and Elephant seals are at Campbell island and some others, We are actually lucky cause we have the Elephant seals and they’re one of the biggest seals in the world!. Seals can close their nostrils under water which helps them breathe under water with air for a whole hour. The female seals are named the Cows and the dads are the Bulls, at the back of a seal isn’t a tail its actually a flipper. Seal lions are mostly found at Rookieres, Rookieres are places that are filled with seals, and mostly dads are there. The mums go there to have their babys, then the mum leaves to go get food, The bull fights other seals that try attacking the babys. They puff up their chests and hit into them until the other one gets bored and goes away. The book is non ficiton and we have been adding infomation to other peoples text, and letting people join in. Do you think we should stop harming seals.?
New Game
Today we played a game named Block out, our teacher Ms Hickford let us play it. Its about rolling a dice and if it were to be 3 and 4 you would make a 3 by 4, it was really fun at the start I didn’t understand, then at the end I understood it. You need a buddy to work with you to make it fun. Its on a game place called Polypad, we’ve been doing it for maths and we got to play it so we could learn more of our Multiplication. I think we should do it more often!. Cause I love doing maths. Do you think we should get to do this everyday?. 
Our passports have been leaked!
A couple days ago our passports were leaked around the internet. (Just kidding, only our school). Showing everyone our information, we had spent days on them and people got them in seconds.
They had our photo of passport and described them to chat gpt it would show a photo similar. It would be sent all around the internet. We learnt this to show Mrs King about us.
Passports are very fun to do.

Summer learning journey
Summer learning journey is a app for learning, with lots of different activites. My personal favourite was Groove Pizza. Groove Pizza has music you can make it custom they way you want. I quite enjoyed it . And I made a good beat. Here’s mine.
Science
Today we did science, with water. We stand on a hot water bottle, you need a hot water bottle some wood and a jug, with half of it filled with water, and you need tube with a smaller jug. Connect the tube with the smaller jug, and connect the tube to the hot water bottle then put the wood pieces on the bottom and on top, and make sure they have holes in them grab rope and tie it. We learn’t that how you get taller is from the iron plates, the gravity comes from the iron plates when they spin around. So the water gets forced down, and the air comes up through the water, making the air come up to the top. Then how we get shorter, is cause the air comes out due to the shorter you get, it gets compressed in between the water bottle and water. We ended up lifting 3 girls and 4 boys.
Fakes news
Today our class made another Fake news report. But it was differnet, instead we made a picture of it, we got pictures off explore and google, to make it more realistic we used remove.bg, it removes backgrounds off pictures!. It actually was quite easy, I learn’t that making fake news is quite easy!. All you need is a couple images and use remove.bg, and thats how you make them.
Fake News Article
This week we learn’t about the north west pacfic tree octopus. The north west pacfic tree octopus tend to take their name, they live in trees but the north west pacfic tree octopus are clealy not real. So as a task we got told to make a fake news article, so I made mine about Baby Giraffe War. The whole point of it was to make it as real as you can. I tried making mine as real as possible, You can read mine. Its a bit hard to read but I hope you like it!.I really liked making mine because its enjoyable making a fake news article. I learn’t that don’t trust everything on the internet. I didn’t like how it was just a waste of time learning about the tree octopus. I can now create fake news articles whenever I want. Little Blue Penguins
Discovery Friday
Today was discovery Friday, we were doing it about how soil will do in a earthquake. We got in groups of six. The ingredients you need: Corn flour, water with a teaspoon and a spoon, The put the corn flower in the teaspoon and pour it into a container. Then pour two teaspoons of water in the conatiner, grab the spoon and mix. Mix it for a bit and then try pooking your finger in the container. Use the spoon and tap on the container, or you could grab the container and hit on the table. The name it is, is called liquifaction.♦ After doing one of those stick your finger in the container, and it becomes softer in the middle, but on the side it becomes hard. Don’t eat it, its bad to eat. And thats it. Would you like to try it out?!
Little blue penguins
This week we have been learning about little blue penguins, we did a little blue penguin kahoot, to see who knows really well about them. Little blue penguins are the smallest penguins in the world, they weigh one block of butter, or cheese meaning 500grams or 1kg, they dont grow as tall as other penguins. Probably 1m or even smaller, little blue penguins are endangered from dogs and cars sometimes humans, to tell how one has died you cut it open and look at the guts. Little blue penguins are also some times endangered by erosion, erosion is where the tide can go down or up, little blue penguins walk about 1m away from water meaning their nest gets destroyed during erosion. Little blue penguins can dive down 33m or less and maybe more. They don’t wander around the beach instead they just walk to the water swim and come back the same path, they go out early in the morning to have a swim and get fish and then get back at sunset. On Thursday we are going to the beach to try find them.
